24 The Book of Love by Kathleen McGowan (3/29) Wow. Just wow.
25 Ghouls Just Haunt to Have Fun by Victoria Laurie (3/30)
26 The Music Teacher by Barbara Hall (3/31) Intriguing book by the creator of Judging Amy and Joan of Arcadia and writer for Moonlighting and Northern Exposure. Has written eight other books. I'll have to check out some of them.

Update: Abandoned The Women. Maybe I'll try again later.
Still stuck in the middle: Most of my reading lately has been The Women by T. C. Boyle. It’s about the women of Frank Lloyd Wright. It goes in reverse chronological order, and when I read about the last of his women (featured, anyway), I came to dislike the one before. Now I’m reading about the next-to-last and I already don’t like her. I’m slogging along now. I really enjoyed Loving Frank much more.

February list: 9
8 Away by Amy Bloom (2/1) (Cover was my favorite thing about the book. It’s gorgeous.)
9 The Shack (2/3)
10 Half of When Will There Be Good News by Kate Atkinson (too lazy to look for the spelling of her last name). Maybe I’ll read the other half some day, but for now, I’m not captivated by it. (2/7)
11 Pink Ice (2/10)
12 blue Moon by Laurell K. Hamilton (I checked this out from the library’s “new books” section. After I started reading it, I realized I’d read it before, when it came out in 1999. I read about half of it again, but was distracted by
13 Killer Heat by Linda Fairstein (2/15)
14 Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah (I think) (2/17)
15 Runner by Thomas Perry (2/19) It’s been nine years since he’s written one in the Jane Whitefield series, which is one of my favorites. This was a nice return to the series.
16 Wait Till Your vampire Gets Home by Michele Bardsley (2/28) Light reading, but fun.

The People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks
No Rest for the Wiccan by Madelyn Alt
Wishful Drinking by Carrie Fisher
The Birth House by Ami McKay (1/18)
Spark Notes Study Guide for GRE (1/22–yes, I’m paying now for not having to take it when I got my master’s. Now I’m not a good enough test taker to get in to the doctoral program, I’m afraid. Why would I need math to get my PhD in journalism?!!)
The Expected One by Kathleen McGowan (1/26) reread
